The stalagmites above where taken in Pools caverns near Buxton.  The picture was a little dark but you can clearly make out the formations above made by lime dripping through the cave ceiling.

The picture above also taken in Poole's caverns are a rock formation with many names like Brains and cauliflower.  There is many underground caverns not yet uncovered but pot holers are currently taking this cave deeper and deeper and have discovered tunnels leading miles underground from the ones you can visit here.
